Hi All,

So you provide additional default colors for charts with more than 12
colors.

Is this the right use case?

Yes that is correct

Rob, I like your way to allow the user to chose without being trapped in
a bunch of new features they need to understand before.

Just one question, as I can't try the feature by myself:

Do you provide the same confirmation window as the standard color
selector in Options - LibreOffice - Colors when removing a color:
"Do you want to delete the color?"

Or is it different like "Do you want to remove the color from the
default colors?"

There is no confirmation yet. But I am refining the patch because of improvement proposals from the developers-list, so if some changes are needed I can implement them on the follow-up patch.

I can see neither of them in the patch you posted on the dev list (but
I'm not a developer, so I might be wrong).

Besides from this point I think your patch allows the user to be more
flexible with large charts - especially with pie charts, where 12
different colors can lead to repeated colors leading to the opinion that
the data showing the same color should be related.

Thanks for improving this situation!

Best regards

Bernhard

Greetings,
Rob
