Hi Jan, Tobias and Thorsten - among the Design Team!

Jan, I answer this mail first, since I'd like to save you some effort -
the remaining answers will be given in your first mail to the list.

First, a warm welcome to the Design Team!

Great to hear your offer for help - indeed, we'd need a bit of help in
the area of the Tango icon set. Unfortunately, it seems that the
LibreOffice recommended palette does not fit Tango too much, would you
be able to adapt the icons to fit it more?

Kendy, do you ask to adapt all the Tango icons to fit the LibreOffice
palette? ;-) I assume the other way round, there I'd like to ask you to
wait ...

Although the colors are only similar (not identical), the LibreOffice
palette had been applied to ensure proper branding of the product - at
least for some months (more on that in the other mail). They use the
color palette that had been worked out to match the green "Libre":

The second problem is that the icon on the toolbar is too big compared
to the other ones - Thorsten, what is best to do them smaller, anything
in your tooling, or do we need a 24x24 version?

Mmh, it seems that we missed that icons size - just had a look at the
Gnome styleguide. Kendy, can you confirm that the large toolbar icons
are 24x24?

Here is the Gnome HIG:

Tobias - attached you can see the current look; adapting it to
http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Icon_Theme_Guidelines when the theme
is switched to Tango would be great; and it is technically very well
possible. If you are fast, we might be able to get it to the 3.3.1
release - we are tagging RC1 today, the GM candidate will be tagged on
Monday :-)

The svg source lives at:

@ Bernhard (assuming that you're reading this thread): What is the most
recent version - is this one already available on the Initial Icons wiki
page?

How does that sound?

Just a general remark - I'm more worried about the low coverage of the
Tango Icons for LibreOffice. The original Galaxy style palette was less
ambiguous in many cases, so that the missing/wrong metaphors make me
worry a bit more :-\

Okay, back to your initial mail, Tobias!

Cheers,
Christoph
