Hi again, Robinson and Joel:

Our LibreOffice logo update went easily, thanks to your help. Done!

FWIW, I believe that it looked better before. Amidst other banners, this new one seems lacking with no "banner" (background) and with room for a missing description line. Maybe that's a constructive thought for later.

    Hi, Rob (and maybe Joel?)!

[Joel now cc'd]

I think that Joel has thusfar avoided joining the US-Marketing mailing list, but given that he's on just about every other list *and* is on the Board, we cut him a little slack :-)
Okay, Joel. Until you beg to get on the e-mail list for NatickFOSS.org, I'll cut you some slack. :-)

Also, thanks for the invitations. Jill and I don't spend much time
hanging out in on-line sessions, but definitely are interested in
your late-July Boston hackfest. At Algot's suggestion, it's
already been publicized at our meeting, on the web site for our
FOSS User Group (see my sign-off below), and in our e-mail
announcements while we await confirmation and the meeting
location. If Jill and I are in town that weekend, we'd like to attend.

We just confirmed the venue -- we'll be at Xamarin's Boston offices, just off the Boston Common:

So posted, on the Archives page of our web site.

Yes, Natick is about a half-hour west of Boston/Logan/MIT via car,
and often under an hour by commuter rail from South Station. So in
exchange, may I invite you help present LibreOffice to beginning
and intermediate users (half of whom probably use it; we do) at a
future FOSS User Group meeting? I think that would be a hit, too.

Certainly! I'm sure we can find a good time for me to make an appearance.
Great! When you're ready to discuss it further, please let me know.
Are the meetings monthly?
Yes; first Thursday afternoon monthly, except second Thursday in January, July and September. We're listed in loco.ubuntu.com and elsewhere.

(And you might help a few users with problems and/or get useful
    feedback about same.)

We're always happy to get feedback and bug reports. Well, sometimes we get a bit snowed-under with bug reports, but we try to keep things in perspective.
Feedback in invaluable - and most of it is tolerable, too. :-)

Or just hang out in our back yard on Lake Cochituate (maybe with
    Algot), to discuss future cooperation.

That sounds like a plan!
While the weather is good.

Got more-complete contact information? Mine is below.

Wishing you a good takeoff (preferably by now) and landing,

Oh, flight has gotten a bit delayed. Par for the course... :P
We had a late afternoon of spotty thunderstorms. And it's pouring rain right now; there's another rumble in the distance. I hope you're already on your way.

Best,
--R
