HI,
Just to let everyone have an idea of where this is:
I sent a number of files to Tim for his use, based on what I did
yesterday and a little this morning:
Overall changes this morning:
Staying with the LibreOfficeBox iso as the basis for this disc I took
the time to
- clone the directory structure:
../themes/tdf/*
as
../themes/community/*
- altered the CSS layout file in this community theme to change the
header.
- Updated all the working html files to use this community theme over
the tdf theme.
About the header - I've been reading all the mails on design and website
- so to this morning updaed the images in the community theme section,
using Bernhard's latest community logo suggestion - to take a look.
I used that to create a custom logo for this disc, the one for the show!
You can see it here:

Now - I haven't wondered over to the design list yet...*shy look*..I
will today.
First - what do you guys think?

The theme looks great. I think we should localise wherever possible. On
the .png it should then say: Español and Français
Logo looks great. Be prepared to field questions from other groups as to
why it is just not English Community DVD. Also note that there has been
some interest from one Spanish member of the DVD and he may join the group.
French help with Sophie and this DVD in particular will have to be
localised to Canadian French.
Let me know if I can help out.
Re: organization. Could both yourself and Tim, as you are going through
this exercise make notes on how to streamline this process so that it
can be accelerated at the next LibreOffice upgrade? You may want to
think about putting it into a "DVD team" context with separation of
roles. For example:
1 member to update so many files
1 Spanish member to updated so many files
1 French member to updated so many file
Maybe also include your impressions on how you think this process may
also be streamlines more with an ideal number of team members by keeping
the number of members at a realistic amount. That is, how many people do
you need to make this into a quick and efficace process from start to
end. Yourself and Tim will have lived through the process pretty well by
yourselves ... we could draw up a wiki for this and at the next upgrade
we will be better prepared for a call for help.
Cheers
Marc
