Van de Handleidingen voor Writer, voor LibreOffice versie 6, is het
hoofdstuk 'Werken met tekst: Basis' vertaald en gepubliceerd.
In dit hoofdstuk wordt als eerst beschreven hoe u op verschillenden
manieren tekst kunt selecteren. Ook meerdere niet aansluitende
tekstblokken. Daarna wordt er uitgebreid ingegaan op het zoeken en zoeken
en vervangen, met de werkbalk Zoeken en het dialoogvenster Zoeken en
vervangen. Ook het invoegen van speciale tekens komt aan de orde en het al
dan niet automatisch controleren van spelling en grammatica. Ook het
afbreken van woorden, het gebruik van autocorrectie en woordinvulling komt
aan de orde. Vervolgens wordt er ingegaan op het gebruik van AutoTekst. Een
handig hulpmiddel voor het invoegen van veelgebruikte tekst.
