こんにちは、大橋です。
査読を少しずつ進めていて、本件にたどり着きました。

MLでみなさんの投稿を拝見しました。
この時点で、UIの既存の翻訳を変更するまでには至らないかなと考えます。
また、UIとヘルプの訳語が異なるのはそちらのほうが混乱を招きそうなので
提案の適応は保留にしてあります。

誤差範囲というより、誤差の範囲を示すバーそのものを言っているのではないでしょうか。
そのまま ”エラーバー” と訳してはいかがでしょうか。

心理統計しか知りませんが,少なくとも現在では「エラーバー」が定訳だと思います。
「誤差範囲」だと,心理学者(というか少なくとも私)はピンときません。「誤差棒」だと
ちょっと考えてから「ああ,エラーバーのことね」と理解するという感じです。

大久保街亜・岡田謙介(2012). 伝えるための心理統計──効果量・信頼区間・検定力 勁草書房
のp.145にも「エラーバー」という用語が出てきますね。

を見ると,「Excelでのエラーバーのつけかた」として「誤差範囲を設定する」手続き
が書かれていますね。

というわけで,「エラーバー」に+1です。
