I once set up that module to serve those mirrors that already were in place
to serve as seeders for the former PrOOo-Box.

so, just that I understand it: This is an rsync module other servers use to
seed the LibreOffice-Box, correct?

In case of goettingen machine it's an automated additional archive of all .iso
files released by tdf.

to give a snapshot of recent traffic on my machine:

            done 3565,6 MB Rate: 0,0 / 0,0 KB Uploaded: 97199,8 MB [T R: 27,26]
            done 4288,7 MB Rate: 0,0 / 0,0 KB Uploaded: 63960,2 MB [T R: 14,91]
            done 3825,2 MB Rate: 0,0 / 0,0 KB Uploaded: 28298,0 MB [T R: 7,40]
            done 4068,2 MB Rate: 0,0 / 0,0 KB Uploaded: 71814,7 MB [T R: 17,65]

So in summary it's approx. 67 DVDs or 261272 MB (260GB) served by my machine
and something similar by the others for the ISOs currently in the loop.

As Christian stated, it's not of any harm to keep it alive.

Also not to forget: It's an easy to activate and to extend emergency
distributing system.
