Text of download page is partially responsible for some confusion. For
example, when I go to https://www.libreoffice.org/download/, it says
LibreOffice Windows, version 3.5.4, Hungarian. So I may think that I'm
going to download a Hungarian installer, It is not clear, that I will
dowload a multi language installer. I think this fact should be
emphasized.
good point, indeed. I know there's some magic (tm) behind the download
page, so I keep my hands off from it, but maybe someone with the
required knowledge can make it a bit more clear.
Windows installer automatically starts on the language of the regional
settings of Windows. It is suitable for 99% of users. This is a
WIndows feature, not ours. There is a related bug report in Bugzilla:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51038 The question is, if
it is possible to start installer in English without changing regional
settings to English. I don't have the answer yet. It is easy to force
installer to start in any language, but English seems to be special.
Interesting. :)
:))
