- Translation of Questions/Answers, Multilanguage:
The guys at askbot are working on it, but decided to do some large
refacturing first. But it is definetly on their TODO.
What do you mean by that? automated translation by some bot?
I meant the introduction of a language field in the question, and showing only questions of the
users language, and also the relation question in one language - question in another language when
they cover the same topic.
I would like to announce Askbot to pt-BR lists but I need to know if the
tool will work for pt-BR questions, or is restricted to english
questions and answers.
It will work for questions in all languages, but before the above mentioned features are introduced
we have to think about the best way to do it.
Perhaps tagging the questions with the appropriate language. As soon as the language field is
introduced, it should be possible to convert from language-tag to language-field quite easily. But
the users have to use tag filtering to only see questions in languages they are interested in.
Cu,
Alex
