It's a shame that it has been disabled without further investigating the
problem with it. Is there a way to install it in such a way as to allow
it for some users and not for others. I for one used it extensively when
it was on the wiki, and yes, it did have some quirks, but once you got
used to it it allowed you to do all of the proper editing without any
problems. I found it misbehaved the most when you tried to edit complete
pages that had not been broken up in sections (title sections etc.). Or
worse, when people just ignored editing in sections and got into the
habit of going into editing large developed pages at a time.
sorry for the inconveniences - I saw the "alert", and then wanted to
react quickly, since it's better to have temporarily less comfort when
editing pages, rather than getting important pages always destroyed.
I won't find time to investigate that before the new year. I'm sure
there is either a way to disable the editor for those who don't want
it, or to improve it - but it has to wait until January until I'm back
from vacation, or someone else has to work on it.
Maybe Manuel or Christian can investigate. I recall there was a
setting to disable the editor for everyone, unless they explictly
activate it in the preferences.

It will be great to get it back or maybe the TDF could flex it "entity"
muscle and adopt the WYSIWYG wiki editor as another project and invite
interested devs to help. Maybe a partnership with Wikimedia and ... I
thought there was also another group trying to improve the editor as
well. If we are going to use the Wikimedia as a core tool for the LibO
project, then maybe try to improve the wiki in the usability side of things.
Definitely, no problem with the wait ... nice time of the year to go on
vacation or to reconnect with family. :-)
Thanks for the help and Merry Christmas.
