Not really, but what is doable is to have "scheduled" publications of
the changed strings, i.e. when the date of release is fixed, one can
prepare the change of the page's text and say: "publish this change at
<whatever date the announce will be made>".

could you write up a detailed howto, on what to do for the above -
so I can add that to our release process documentation?
You do the change in the page, choose "save", then "request
publication", then on the then-existing workflow tab you can add an
embargo date and time. Approve the publication request and it gets
scheduled.
