Hello Ian

While not and expert, this may work for you.

In the Calc spreadsheet have a heading that matches the field names of the database.

If there are more field names than in the spreadsheet, insert blank columns beneath them.

Highlight data including heading and copy/paste over named database that you are importing to.

After <Next> uncheck blank column fields and continue.

Also I believe you must have a "Primary Key".

Note that there may be better ways, but this has worked for me.

I have data in a spreadsheet which I am trying to get into Base. None of the methods coming up in searches are working. Effectively when copying from calc and attempting to paste into a predefined table or to create a new table, paste is greyed out. There must be a better way than laboriously retyping everything. Assistance please.
