[libreoffice-users] drawing a chart

I'm trying to draw a chart in a spreadsheet and don't understand how to
do it. I've been using the Chart Wizard but find that very difficult.

Can somebody point me to a simple description of how to set up a chart?

I have two columns of data:

$B3:$B3845 shows 'generated' data for each day
$D3:$D3845 shows 'diverted' data for each day

I want to draw a scatter plot showing a point for each day, with
the position of the point determined by the generated datum for that day
along the X axis and the diverted datum along the Y axis.
