Hello this is a quick bug report about a catastrophic problem in Libre.
When a .gif is dragged into a slide, the program continues to allocate
memory, but does not deallocate memory, eventually causing a catastrophic
crash which can lose hours of work.

The other problem is that there is no session save, to prevent catastrophic
loss if a bug is to occur.

It would be helpful to know if you're using an Animated GIF or not.  Not all GIF images are animated.  I just tried a quick test and dragging a GIF I created to a slide didn't result in memory exhaustion at all.

Thanks!

Peace...
