This issue appeared when I upgraded to LO-5.4.0 and remains with today's
upgrade to -5.4.1 (on Slackware-14.2). LO Writer is not recognizing and
using fonts in /usr/share/fonts/OTF/. There is one font of particular
interest: Baker Signet.

I converted Baker Signet from .ttf to .otf using fontforge. It exists in
/usr/share/fonts/OTF/ as baker-signet.otf. However, in a Writer document
there is a Baker (capitalized) typeface in the pulldown menu, but it does
not change the displayed text.

Also converted from .ttf to .otf is Bitstream's Amerigo, and Writer
presents that as Americo BT and does use it when selected.

Since LO Writer is supposed to recognize all typefaces and fonts in
/usr/share/fonts/OTF/ I would like suggestions where to look for the source
of the problem with Baker Signet and, potentially, others.
