When I play a presentation that contains an embedded video, the video
playback show some unwanted artifacts. The best description I have is that
it's tearing, but you can see what I mean here:
https://youtu.be/_JrRY4NRLIA

Parts of the initial title screen keep flickering through as the rest of the
video is playing.

The environment details from Impress' about screen are:
Version: 5.3.1.2
Build ID: 1:5.3.1-0ubuntu2
CPU Threads: 12; OS Version: Linux 4.10; UI Render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Layout Engine: new;

The video playback artifacts also occur on my laptop (same Ubuntu release,
same Impress version) and it doesn't matter if I use a single screen or dual
screen setup, wherever the video plays it behaves the same.

Any ideas or workarounds?
