I have a three column list of names, (A=First, B-Surname, C=Former Name), with about 3000 entries and want to get the Search function (CTRL-F) to look in just the specific column related to the Search. I have tried to pre-select the column, (right-click), but the Search function still looks at all the columns. PCLOS 2013 and LO 3.6.5.2 Thanks for any help. IanW Pretoria RSASelect a column, then "Find & Replace (CTRL+H)", and make sure the "Current Selection Only" option is selected within "More Options". You may also use regular expressions if you wish. But after the first 'find', the selection is cleared, therefore it will not be possible to find second occurance in that selection.LO 4.0.3.3 / Win7
All of the above seems to be correct!! The best 'Work around' I've come-up with is to select 'Find and Replace' but pick 'Find all' and it then Marks all the finds in the right column!!
That works for me. Thanks a lot.
