Is it possible to get Calc to search/Find in a specific column??
Select a column, then "Find & Replace (CTRL+H)", and make sure the
"Current Selection Only" option is selected within "More Options".
But after the first 'find', the selection is cleared, therefore it
will not be possible to find second occurrence in that selection.
On the contrary, you can find as many occurrences in the selection as
you wish - or even all at once. If your computer doesn't do that,
buy one that works!
If you perhaps move away from the Find & Replace function and attend
to the first occurrence found and to edit it in some way, then you
may well lose the selection, of course - but you'd expect that.
