Well, the Boy Scouts surely have the prior claim,
since they were founded on 8 February 1910;
2 years before in England ;-)
And OO/LO was founded nearly 100 years later ;-)
wow, I knew some of the original scouts -
and one of the original troops watched the Wright Brothers'
experiments in Ohio -
and many of those men considered the computer "a passing fad" ...
what would they say today, if they were still alive?
