I don't know a way to change it. I would do it the other way round.
Define a cell style for the border, which uses for example light blue
and use that to make the cell borders. You need to remove hard
formatting to see the color from cell style. Then you can distinguish it
while editing. When you come to printing, set the color to black in the
style.
