He asked about the logic why French dictionaries remain in a plain English GUI. There are hundreds of other features he will never use. Why make a fuzz of a few MB of unused dictionaries? OOo 3.3 is downloadable as one language version without any extensions preinstalled. There might be good reasons why LibreOffice comes multi-lingual with some extensions preinstalled.
The unopkg command line tool can remove them.
