Actually, Tom's suggestion would be my first as well. Can't tell you how many times folks have 
sworn they have a valid download of an install package--only to find they don't when they actually 
check it.
 
You're HASH values are correct.
 
Next step would be as Jay suggested to run a conservative registry cleaner and continuity checker, 
like CCleaner, or a more aggressive removal tool like  Revo-Uninstaller.
 
I know it is a new load for you, but you've had a couple of attempts now.
 
I had a similar experiences on upgrade to 3.4.2 following uninstall 3.4.1 without clean-up between.

Have you used md5sum or SHA to check the download?  Are you sure you have administrator 
privileges on your machine when you try installing?
