I think the LibreOffice devs do look at bug-reports and stuff posted against 
OpenOffice but it's better to post again for LibreOffice to make sure that it's 
known this still an issue and still wanted for LibreOffice.

When you post it please add the url addresses of the stuff posted against 
OpenOffice so that people can see the state of play with OOo.

Sorry to start a thread and then not check in for a bit... 

Just to clarify, this is a feature in Word that closes up the white space at
the bottom/top of pages. Instead of seeing "white space" in the margin at
the bottom of a page, and the "white space" in the top margin of the
following page, you just see a line. That makes the text at the bottom of
the first page almost contiguous with the text at the top of the next page. 

Since I work primarily on long documents, and since screen space is often at
a premium, this is a really handy feature for reading and editing. It allows
you to see 8-10 lines of text that you'd otherwise have to scroll down to
see. 

This was a major topic on one of the old OOo lists...including some vitriol
and some speculation that LO would address this issue much quicker than the
OOo. The issue seems to have gone largely ignored on OOo in spite of the
fact that there seems to be rather widespread support for the feature. 

I appreciate the comments...just wondering if anyone knows if this feature
has been addressed in LO in either of the new releases? Or perhaps for a
future one?
