Back to you Larry.
Why back to me? I don't use the command line.
Because you stated:
"Only of interest to Linux users. Most of the posts in this thread are
by Windows or Mac users."
The instructions you gave were Linux specific. You did not state so. Someone with little
knowledge may waste their time trying to implement them on a different system.
Like a Mac?
While I initially only gave linux commands, the CLI options apply pretty
much to Windows& Mac users.
But not the commands you gave. I get really tired of people giving OS specific solutions
without stating what OS they apply to. Windows users are notorious for this.
I see. So you actually can't figure out how to use the commands on your Mac?
I gave previously gave a link to a site that had
Command Line OpenOffice.org Launchers so someone could modify them for LibreOffice. Here is the
link once again.
http://stuporglue.org/openoffice-org-aqua-rocks/
Not in this thread. Nor do I see that it matters much.
I never said it was in this thread. This subject has occurred before. I gave the link again so
anyone interested would not have to search the archives to find it.
Right.
I was simply providing additional information for "Startup options" that
I had *hoped* would be of benefit to users on the list. You popped in
stating that it was "Only of interest to Linux users"
The instructions you gave are only of use to Linux users. Thus those instructions are of no
interest to someone on a different OS.
While the commands that I offered were initially for linux, the commands
apply to Windows and Mac. If you (or anyone else) had questions they
could have simply responded & asked.
You instead came back with "Only of interest to Linux users. Most of
the posts in this thread are by Windows or Mac users.". Nothing else.
- it isn't IMO.
You use a Mac, so perhaps you can fill us in on the 'Startup options' on
a Mac? Or tell us why the CLI options are "Only of interest to Linux users"?
I never said that CLI options are only of interest to Linux users, just the specific
instructions you gave without specifying what OS they applied to.
Right... "Only of interest to Linux users. Most of the posts in this
thread are by Windows or Mac users."... looks pretty "specific", eh?
Larry
I'll leave it to the list to judge either way.
