Hi Telesto,

They status of the Online version needs indeed to be solved, IMHO.
Online and desktop editions are complementary these days.

For coherence at TDF LibreOffice Online edition should be available, too
Even for the sake of keeping a strong brand (of LibreOffice). Else users
slipping away.

A strong brand with developers slipping away (OpenOffice) is not
attractive too.

If LibreOffice Online by TDF being a package only would also fine>
And say LibreOffice Online by TDF supplied as source code only.

This approach would also fiĀ  they 'LibreOffice technology' model.
Else we have LibreOffice Desktop Powered by Collabora and Collabora Online.

The current marketing plan discusses (among other things) an attempt to
get more traction for business in the LO ecosystem for more paying
customers to be able to do more work on wishes and needs.
Using a label is one important idea in the discussion.

I've posted a contribution in a completely different area
Apart from your reply, it looks as if others missed that.
Although the funny thing is, that the idea might make the discussion
about a label easier?

So they Online topic does indeed matter, IMHO.
I wish everything was not so interconnected. Now we move between hot
potatoes. And for those work on they Marketing Plan tremendously

Anyhow, I missed they whole story why Online moving to Github anyhow.

There has been a post on one of the lists .. but the Online website on
GitHub also has an FAQ answering most

First step was probably not being public (which solved) and this isn't
done by
TDF because of fear of cannibalism? TDF serving a Online version?
Or about Branding of Collabora? Credits? Liking Github more compared to
TDF infra?
Other squabbles?

Things like that involved, yes.
