From what I know and have observed on several blogs and websites,
Facebook may not drive "purchases", but it drives real traffic. I have
heard about GM pulling out from Facebook, but then tracking the
customer's interest from a facebook page to the car loan signed at the
specific GM's reseller seems far-fetched in any case. However, one click
leading to a download of a "free" software is quite different imho.
Yes, I think that you are right in thinking of this. I also like your
idea of a very specific group and then examining the "return on our
investment".
I'll put you down as contact person and then will post it on the wiki
along with the others. We can add the approximate cost when you get it.
I think it is best for the BoD to get an idea of who is suggesting and
what type of wishes are coming through -- even if the costs are not
noted, we can always push the "contacts" for the costs if the interest
by the BoD is high. I will be updating the wiki sometime this week.
Cheers,
Marc
