well, I don't think this is a TDF problem. No one can doubt that we are 
open, independent from gender, nationality and color of skin. IMHO, this 
openness and how TDF members should treat each other is even in our 
statues. If you are aware of any case where people were treated 
unfairly, feel free to directly ping me offlist, so we can investigate.

And about elections: Sophie is female, and she has been elected into the 
MC. :-)

I really think that we as a group, as a project and a community can grow 
together and get to know each other much better if we use all means of 
communication, including video. I think everyone here is respected, no 
matter how she or he looks.
