For some reason some of the ODT files now open up within
Mozilla FireFox 3.6.13 for Ubuntu. Never did this before for
OOo. But it did for LibreOffice 3.3.0.x
That is a nice feature sometimes, while other times is can be a headache.
Yes, but imagine, all of these years, Thunderbird has been offering this
default for MSO. This seems to give the view that the .doc and .pdf
files have established the norm, when we should be pushing for support
for conventions. OpenDocument Format (ODF) support is crucial to our
distro. We should try to get support for the ODF formats from as many
places as possible. It will only help us. You can always remove these
preferences if you like. Unfortunately, I don't believe that Thunderbird
(Mozilla) would want to remove the .doc and .pdf formats from the
default install, so we may as well push for ODF as well.
Cheers
