I just realized that if I type in ".pdf" in a Thunderbird email message,
a bar appears on the bottom of my window reminding me to not forget to
include the .pdf file before sending my email. This also happens with
".doc"
We should ask Mozilla to add the OpenDocument Format file extensions to
this feature.
Are there any other pieces of emailing software that do the same but not
include the OpenDocument Formats as well?
This would certainly advance our cause for the preferred use of
OpenDocument Format.

I just got a bugzilla answer from Mozilla on this and it has been
accepted. They said that just having the .pdf and .doc extensions was
too selective. It looks like they will accept all sets of .od?
extentions. No details as to when this will make its appearance in
Thunderbird.
Cheers
Marc
