Have you ever had worries that your ISP would label you as a spammer for
the amount of email that you send?

The software sends a single email to each address, and my ISP knows my
business. Also, I use at least 3 different SMTP servers, each one for a
different purpose, so shipments are balanced.

Ah. I have 3 smtp's from my site servers as well as my ISP smtp. I could contact my hosting service and see what they think of large mailouts for LibreOffice after the decisions on declaring the national LO marketing reps are decided. I may be able to convince them to facilitate the mailouts if mine get too big or if anyone needs help with their mailouts.

OK. I'll prep a wiki page with this information and then we could link
the list to the documents when they are completed.

Done. http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/LibOReleaseEvents/LOPressKit

BTW ... list of TDF Spokespersons, plus local contacts for infos -- I
can take care of preparing a table for this. Are there any particular
fields other than:

/ Country / Region / Location / Contact Name / Phone-Skype #/ Email Address / Time Zone (GMT +/-)

I will also only note that this list is only to be filled by myself or National Marketing Leads after these people are approved by yourself. I think it is pretty well accepted that you are our Marketing Lead on the project.

For contacts we also need phone number and possibly Skype nick, as many
journalists use Skype. As we are on different time zones, I would add a
time zone column, using the standard GMT +/- order.

I will do a table with the following. Should this still be visible on the wiki for everyone to see? Phone numbers and all? Is there a way to lock this up for members only? There should be some things that should be made public:

/ Country / Region / Location / Contact Name / Email Address /

We must agree on a basic set of infos which may be handled at local
level, and a wider set of infos which should (ideally) be handled by
spokespersons. Sometimes, it will be difficult to handle the process
without itches, as editors are always on a tight deadline (good old
common sense helps a lot).

Yes. Should we add this to a confcall where you could attend?

Yes, I think we can have a specific conf call next week to start
organize and then another one later on to polish the process. Actually,
I have media trained TDF spokespersons (via conference call, which has
been a nice exercise on my side, as this is usually performed face to
face), and we can think about doing something similar for TDF local
marketing contacts.

Yes, the marketing concalls have been really productive.
