Well, I've tried to catch the beta2, but unfortunately will miss it...

Not at all, 99.9% is fair enough. Strings are still not frozen, so we
are chasing a moving target.

I updated
Pootle, because I'll pull translations from it for 4.1 beta 2 later
today. I'm sorry for the inconveniences.

So what is the process I need to follow. I'm not able to translate on
Pootle or I will spend all my nights on it. What should I do?

You have 69 words to take care of, while you had 114 in the morning,
so something was merged I think.
Please let me know, if I can help any way.

I downloaded the Android file from Pootle this morning, merged it with
the previous one on my computer, then uploaded it again, so there is
always a solution :) But trying to do it directly on Pootle didn't work.
What I'd like to avoid is the extra merge step.

Kind regards
Sophie
