Cool, so if we apply file system compression to the .app bundle it will
likely be around 1 GB on disk,


But how to do that? There is nothing in the LibreOffice Vanilla build
configuration etc that would say "enable file system compression". Maybe it
is a side-effect of it being distributed through the App Store? Or then
when you are comparing to a "normal" LIbreOffice.app, you are comparing to
an app bundle where most files *have* been used at some point, while for
LibreOffice Vanilla at least the message catalogs for UI languages you
haven't used have never been used?
