My "git pull" today brought the firebird work in. Cool!

1) I notice that Debian has neither fb_config, nor fbembed.pc; are
these part of the upstream build (and then it is a bug in Debian
that they are not in the packages)? Do other distros have them?

I filed

OK, thanks for the info. Filed its brother for atomic_ops.

http://packages.debian.org/jessie/amd64/libatomic-ops-dev/filelist:

contains

/usr/lib/pkgconfig/atomic_ops.pc

so it's just wheezy versions not having it...

OK. snapshot.debian.org tells me this is since version
7.3~alpha1+git20110913-1.

The bug has not registered in the BTS yet; you are in X-Debbugs-CC and
I'm about to go to the airport and be offline for a few days; when you
get the bug number, would you be so kind to do the versioned close of
the bug? Thanks in advance.
