Really looking forward to seeing what you've done here. In particular
it might be nice to do some comparative HSQLDB / firebird benchmarking
to give some hope to the long-suffering base users :-)
Also - I guess we should prolly think about compatibility - is there
anything we can do to make future generation's life easier ;-) how
bad/complicated is the binary firebird format I wonder ?
Is it worth (potentially) doing a SQL format dump of the database
schema as we do for HSQLDB ? and given the performance wins we have, I
wonder whether just storing a SQL dump in the ODF file would be an
option ? - slower of course but perhaps safer long term (?)
Anyhow - exciting stuff ! :-)
