Then we typically have C++ code that looks like
   void foo(Reference<A> a)
   void bar() {
       Reference<B> b = ....
       methodThatTakesA( Reference<A>(b, UNO_QUERY_THROW) );
   }

I want to change things so that I can write:
   void bar() {
       Reference<B> b = ....
       methodThatTakesA( b );
Hmm, and then how would you decide if UNO_QUERY or UNO_QUERY_THROW is
desired?

I'm only talking about the specific case of casting to a known super-interface, in which case throwing should not be possible.
