No, I dont want to change it as it would mean becoming the maintainer for the
~90 external projects we have.
i wonder why you didn't mention another way to address it: kill scp2 and installer all together,
and do the installation during the build process (and don't do zip/unzip nonsense)

But for these fringe operating systems like OSX and Windows you still need
solenv/installer for msi creation etc.
