(If by "T: trace facility" you mean sal/log.hxx functionality compiled 
in, then that is "x" for "enable-debug," too.)

One problem with "S: symbols" is that "symbols" is a vague term here.

In light of the above, --enable-debugging-information or some shortening 
like --enable-debug-info?
