Everyone gets these; the idea that we can build without gnumake is a
joke anyway, and $(wildcard) is too useful ;-) so - I would just ignore
these - I assume BSD uses gnumake, or something that handles
$(wildcard) ?
I use gmake for building openoffice. (NetBSD comes with its own make,
bmake, but that doesn't support wildcard and some other GNUisms.)
      I just added --warnings=no-portability to autogen.sh's automake
invocation, that should calm things down ...
