Needed stuff for the notebook toolbars to get this or similar solutions https://design.blog.documentfoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2016/12/Figure6.png 1. drop down arrow on the side or bottom see paste icon http://imgur.com/0z7Xvhl 2. mixed tabs and action icon see http://imgur.com/0z7Xvhl 3. Shrink The Problem is that when you shrink the wide you can say priority-123 and the section was hiden and you see only an arrow. this isn't optimal cause the user didn't know what the arrow is used for (you didn't know what) The solution could be to define a view for expand and one for shrink. e.g. Expand show all Paragraph stuff and shrink only one. could be mixed maybe with 4. 4. Button show an context-xxx thing this could help also for expand things like in the solution mockup Character >> or Paragraph >> but also it would be an workaround for the tabs layout you have than buttons for Edit, Format, ... The behaviour should be click on the Character >> button and the context-characterExtend section (somewhere) right to the default Character stuff will shown. Click on Format and the context-format section will be shown. 5. Icon and Text sizing it would be really usefull when you shrink the size some actions show only the icon instead of icon and text this could help to have an layout for 800px and 2048px. 6. Notebookbar Background now there is a white background instead of transparent https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103235 when this is solved I can make a firefox theme for LibreOffice I'll played a lot in the past weeks with layouts and design in the notebookbar and with this 6 things I'm really fare to find a really awesome solution AND to give other developers and designers something they can use. I'll post some screenshots if you need additional informations. -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: design+unsubscribe@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/design/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
