Hi William, ah, you don't understand: it's not a mock-up, it's implemented. (The patch however was scrapped on the design list, but you can see it under [1].) About the close button: Under Gnome 3, modal windows don't get a close button in the titlebar (usually they don't get a titlebar either). The only way to then close such a window is to right-click on the titlebar. About the logo rules, see [2], rule 4.
