Hi,

The folks at the OO.o user community forum will be adding a sub-page for
LibreOffice under the Setup and Troubleshooting section.

Currently that section is split along OS lines only - you can see that
here:

So an icon, 32x32 px, for LibreOfficce - any reason not to use the
standard contemporary document icon?

I'd rather use the main LibreOffice application icon, as this has been
pixel-adjusted for 32x32 px.

ok - well, maybe I don't know where that is - when I extract the 32px
icon from the SVG file, of icons, that I have (maybe I'm out of date) I
get a 26x32 px image - now you did catch me, I changed that export to be
24 x 30 px and then centered that on a 32 x 32 px canvas, giving a
little bit of extra empty space around it..

So - I went back, did the export at 26 x 32 image and centered that on a
32x32 transparent canvas, this way it lines right up with the other
images, and I don't touch any of the real data.

I assume you have it already extracted from the source [1].

If not I'll use this png file as such:

This exact file is what is on the wiki here

http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/File:Libo-list-icon.png

and you can see what it will ~look like here :

But the differences are not too large, so you might use this one too.

I don't mind being precise on this type of stuff.

I know that I don't need to tell you, but can you have an eye on the
whitespace around the icon when it is integrated in this menu?

Well, the added white space from pbpBB is what it is, I'm not going to
ask to adjust the theme for this one icon - although that is exactly the
thought that lead me to add that little extra in the first graphic
BTW :-)

Anyway - I suppose it looks ok - I can always go back to my original,
but IMO not really worth it.

Perhaps
it would be necessary to use a smaller symbol in order to follow the
guidelines.

That's why I asked - if folks don't want outside sites to use this icon,
then I won't buck, I'll just make up a symbol or ask you to do so :-/

Best wishes,

Drew
