Hello all,
I'm applying for the GSOC this year for the task "implementing
multi-line input bar in Calc". This will involve the input bar to be
multi-line and accommodate the overflow string in a word wrap manner
(similar to MS excel). My mentor is KOhei Yoshida and he suggested me
to write here and get some idea about some existing things which can
be used in this project.
Since this task will involve a lot of UI related stuff, I'd like to
know if there is already an implementation in VCL for multi-line text
control ? If so please guide me through the way it has been
implemented and how it can be used in this case.
Also where is the data source pane implemented in the codebase (Since
its common to all the modules, i guess it might be in svx) ? Is it a
custom control ? If so can it be directly used in this case ?
Also if the multi-line input bar is implemented, will it hinder with
the data source pane when both appear simultaneously ?
Thanks and regards.
