Doesn't sound like that would have much to offer over just using target
rectangles in a separate layer as described at
http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/File-Export.html
(see "Slicing a Drawing").
The funny thing is, that I already used such background objects to
define the size. Just the names haven't been set ... easy to fix, isn't
it?
And, Thorsten (B.) also pointed me towards something Jakub did two years
ago ... have a look at the video, also the new one at the bottom of the
