I would like to offer my help on this issue.

Thank you very much for your help!

I have not been involved into UI-Design for OO.o nor LO. I think this could be
good starting project because the scope is relatively small and this way I
could find a better way into the LO world.

I don't want to discourage you, but the scope may be quite important as
it may touch the read-only mode of Writer.

Cédric, you see - even though it might be an easy hack for you - it will still
take some time for me. We would also have to define how big we should think -
in other words:

I never said it would be an easy hack ;)

Should we just add a little polish and see that we integrate the new feature
as good as possible, or do we want to create a cool dialogue, even though that
takes some time?

I am always in for the latter, because improving a free software product will
always only be done in steps - so why not start with the first :).

If we can split the task in several steps it would be nice.

As I said: I would like to offer my time and knowledge for improving the
dialogue. Just tell me if you like to team-up with me!

Sure.

Regards,
