A slight update.

By installing I believe the Microsoft Visual C libraries as also suggested in the workaround
mentioned in the original email I am able to eliminate the error message I was getting when I tried
to enable accessibility however the accessibility functionality still does not seem to be entirely
working. Specifically Supernova is still not able to read the menus or the state of checkboxes like
it should be able to.  It appears I am making some progress however.

Regards,

Tom

Hi all.

Well I hate to say this but I tried the suggested solution, followed the
instructions very carefully.  Everything worked fine up to and including
restarting LO after fixing the Java.  I was able to go into tools options
java and it shows the new version with no errors as described in the
workaround.  However, when I try to enable the accessibility functionality
it still says the JRE is defective.

I'm going to completely remove LO and do a clean install when I have time
and see if this does anything but I'm out of patience and fed up with
dealing with this for today.  I am running Windows 7 32-bit so I do not have
the complication of the 64-bit windows as discussed in the workaround.  I
believe I am running LO version 3.5.4.2 if memory serves.

Best regards,

Tom

problem

Dear all,

There is a workaround for the Java 1.7.x compatibility problem
on the Windows platform mentioned in earlier discussion. Please refer to
Bugzilla " https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50371 " to
install "MSVC2010 redistributable" from "
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8328 ".

       Thank you and Regards,

                               Michael
