Hi Drew:

I don't know if I'll be able to make the meeting tomorrow night. It's
7PM PST. It's entirely possible I'll be traveling.

Anyway, I'm having no luck logging into the wiki to add a suggestion
about discussing SilverStripe.

It's probably something for which we should set some goals.

Cheers,
jec

There were problems with the Wiki logins during the day and it looks
like the problems are back. I cannot log in as well. I'll leave a
message on the website list. They were having problems also with
spammers on the lists.

Did you have anything in particular that you wanted talked about?
I think that, as a group, we should decide on how we're going to use the
SilverStripe server. My initial recommendations are that we should
consider converting a few pages to see how the technology works. It
looks like there will be a lot of HTML removed from the current pages;
which content was created by scraping the .DE site. Because of that, a
lot of extraneous HTML was captured and stored on the DVD. SS lets us
concentrate on the original content and leave the boilerplate to the
CMS. There will be some format changes, as the SS template doesn't match
what was added after pushing the content to the NA DVD

Cheers,
jec

Do you want me to start looking at the process? I have not been looking
into that system since I was working on the NA DVD as my first priority.

Next week maybe the first time I will be able to do it. My schedule has
been booked, plus rebuilding my Vista laptop is taking a lot of time out
of my usable "work time".

If I get the needed info about what is on the system and what is needed,
or not, I could deal with the HTML work for the site. What "extraneous
HTML" was captures and stored on the DVD? The CSS was from the .de DVD
and we used their "template" for the pages. Actually, I did not use
their second tier pages for each and every file, like the .de DVD/site
did, since it was not needed and it was one more step between the user
and the files [s]he wanted.

Just let me know if you want me to do the HTML. I do not do complex
stuff, but I have been coding it on and off since my hand coding days of
the 90's.

 Hi Tim,

First - I said I would send another email yesterday before I turned in
for the night - and kind that is still true as I didn't quite turn in
but I did nap on a couch with a netbook on my lap.

So starting a couple of emails now
- I hope Jeff can make it by this afternoon
- For this email I would just like to ask if you know for sure now, one
way or the other, if you will be on the IRC discussion?

Thanks much

Drew
