Howdy,
(walking point into a clearing I fear...but)
- this is a one time use disc.
- make the disc label corporate dull...sigh...that may be done already
even or close enough.
- the cover art for the jewel case...*smile*...
-- the discs will be used as prizes for the Libo Glider flying contest
-- the discs will be used as door prizes
-- this is Hollywood baby, go big or go home
-- the cover art should tie into the actual event
so what I would like would be for folks to brainstorm a bit about what
that cove art might entail, conceptually wise - this has to be quick -
so don;t think corporate plodding think entrepreneur nimble.
Cover Art
Flying. Free. Community. Contribution (not money, but doing something
that makes a difference). A representation of the paper glider.
Use the SCALE penguin, if permissible. 9x (SCALE logo). SCALE penguin
flying over California palm trees
I wouldn't be surprised if they would not allow us to alter the blue
penguin but Tux would be a good stand in - Ive seen him/her (is there a
definite on the gender, then again who cares..:) in flight jacket and
goggles before - oh and maybe an image of Libo Flyer as a breast patch
on the flight jacket..
Work of Art. Collectible. Memorable. Something that the winners would
display on their desk, not as an ad, but as serious eye candy.
Great ideas - I wondered on the SCALE logo also - I can touch base with
the team there and ask if that is worth considering or if it is just out
of the question - maybe not prominently on the front, but perhaps on the
back with something like : "This limited edition, commemorative disc,
was distributed by TDF/LibreOffice supporters exclusively at SCALE 9x -
Feb. 2011" or words to that effect.
