Hi everyone:
I had spare time to play tonight and threw together a couple of pages on
the Wiki.
Here they are starting on the index page:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/US-Marketing
Feel free to play around with them or to leave notes on the "Discussions"
tab section.
Don't forget to create your Membership ID Wiki page. You can find my page
on the Wiki pages that I created.
I have been working on looking at some of this stuff, I got my page started
and have some more to go. Seems like every time you think you will have
time there is some crisis that you have to deal with.
This is a really good start, I would like to see the US Marketing Wiki
linked to from the main Marketing page.
One other thing that I really would like to see started is a listing of
contacts in papers, on the news and such that we can start a list of so we
know who to send releases to.
Cheers
Marc
BTW ... I have gone through all the message and tried to put them on the
Wiki pages that I threw together. Let me know if I missed any and we can
work them in. We can also change the look/feel or structure etc of the Wiki
site. It is just a first step in organizing. The most important is getting
your Membership ID page set up so that people know exactly who is involved
in the US-Marketing Team project.
Cheers
Marc

Hi James:
I have started this for the Canadian side. Take a look. There must also
be some organisation that lists all of the US newspapers somewhere.
The participants of the US Marketing Team are a little quiet re: the US
Marketing Wiki site. I just threw it together and you don't really have
to follow that format. I am interested in developing the Canadian one. I
am just collecting data for one more week, with most likely contacts for
all of the organisations. I plan to develop Canadian contact groups for
emailing out from my Thunderbird. I will also go on a short recruiting
campaign to fill the province/city slots and try to coordinate events
with these. I have some contacts in the educational field. I should be
able to fill in the slots with feet on the ground in good 2-3 weeks.
If everyone is OK with it, I (or someone else who knows how to do it)
could link it up with the US Wiki site with the main Marketing Wiki site.
