Para proteger a tabela, faça o seguinte:
1) Selecionar a tabela. Não selecione com o ctrl+A. Utilize o menu Tabela > Selecionar > Tabela.
2) Clicar com botão direito na tabela selecionada
3) Opção Célula > Proteger
Com esse procedimento a tabela ficará protegida mas o documento não.
