[nl-users] Libre Office Writer does not open Word-files

I'm using Libre Office on Windows Vista as well as Ubuntu 12.04

Had problems with opening Word-files in Word8-format.

Got fresh copies of these files, in Word8-format.

The same problem, Writer does not open them, but freezes,
both under Windows and Ubuntu.

I'm unable to test with Word, I do not have it installed.

However, using Wordpad the files do open perfectly.
So they seem to be OK.

And the problem is not in the files, butit's  Writer that's causing the 
problem.

How to fix it without installing Microsoft Word?
